Why We Built This
The internet is full of conflicting advice about nutrition. "How much protein do I need?" is one of the most common questions asked by beginners and athletes alike. We created this calculator to cut through the noise, using formulas derived from the latest sports nutrition research to give you a personalized answer.
Our Methodology
Our calculations are based on established nutritional standards, including data adjusted for:
- Activity Level: Using physical activity level (PAL) multipliers.
- Goal Specificity: Adjusting for nitrogen balance in muscle gain vs. caloric deficit in weight loss.
- Demographics: Considering age-related protein resistance in older populations.
